Westminster is very open the needs of the community and especially the neighborhood. We have a mission with a local grade school where we worked together with students to make thirty blankets, purchased supplies for classroom needs, and collected coats, boots and gloves.

We also work closely with for adults with disabilities who attend the church. Our youth are invited to sing and celebrate holidays with the residents and we offer a Thanksgiving meal in honor of residents and staff.

Our church host Compassionate Friends, which is a support group for parents who have lost a child to death. Families who are going through the loss of a child have found this group to be a great source of healing, and Westminster is proud to have hosted this group for 15 years.

We serve at the Banquet, Lunch is Served, Habitat for Humanity, St. Francis House, Food to You, Feeding South Dakota Backpack Program, Food Bank. We have a grocery cart to assist those who are in need within our congregation and those who may stop by the church for assistance.

Some of Westminster's global missions include digging a well in Sudan to provide clean water to the people of that area, building a classroom, clinic and children's care center in Guatemala as well as an annual shoe drive for the same Guatemalan village. We also helped by providing funding for a project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo called Micro Devru that was used to teach gardening in an urban area.

If you and your family would like to get involved in spreading the message of God's love through service contact a Westminster Deacon.
